Merle Harley Amadon, 74, of Waterford, passed away on
Saturday March 1, 2014. He was born on June 26, 1939,
in Barnet the son of Howard A. and Justine N. (Hall)
Amadon. Merle grew up in West Burke where he had
many fond memories of his childhood and attended the St. Johnsbury Trade School.
Merle worked for Tap and Die of Lyndonville for over 30
years. He was a car enthusiast who loved attending
antique car shows. He enjoyed music jams, Trade School
reunions and just being around people. Merle was very
proud of his family roots and enjoyed their family reunions.
Merle is survived by his wife of 45 years Linda (Davenport) Amadon; twin
brother Merlin Amadon and his wife Sheila of Waterford and their two children,
Anne and her husband Anthony Pakiam of Augusta, Maine, Peter Amadon and
his wife Sherrie and their two children Grant and Makena all of Dallas, Texas;
and a god daughter Katie Gadapee. He was predeceased by his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30, at 11 a.m. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in St. Johnsbury.
