Portsmouth - Mary Ann (Sargent) Limric, 77, formerly of Newmarket and Natick, MA died peacefully on September 13, 2017 at Wentworth Senior Living in Portsmouth.
Born in Montpelier, VT on August 1, 1940, she was the daughter of Theodore D. and Dorothy (Williams) Sargent who predeceased her. Mary Ann grew up in Vermont and was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and the University of Vermont.
Mary Ann worked for 40 years as a registered nurse in the metro west area of Boston. As a school nurse in Hopkinton, MA from 1978-1983 and in Natick from 1983-2003, she dispensed band aids, medications and loving care to hundreds of children.
Mary Ann had a "green thumb". She cultivated beautiful gardens at her home, in her neighborhood and at her church. Her many hobbies included needlework, reading, entertaining and cooking. Living close to the ocean brought great joy to her life. Mary Ann cherished her close and devoted friends. Family, friends and felines - she loved you all. A woman of strong faith, she lived her life with purpose, one day at a time, and asked that "you let someone know today how much you care for them".
She is survived by her son, Steven, his wife, Toni and five children, Brody, Cooper, Max, Eli and Tessa of Glastonbury, CT; her son, Scot and his wife, Kathryn and four children, Abigail, Nathan, Brett, and Benjamin of Madbury; her sister, Brenda Sargent of Durham; her former husband David Limric and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Mary Ann's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23rd at 1:00 PM at Lee Church Congregational, 17 Mast Road, Lee, NH.
Her family wish to thank the staff at Wentworth Senior Living, her church family and her many friends for their loving support during the last months of her life. Memorial gifts may be made to the NH Food Bank (700 E. Industrial Park, Manchester, NH 03109), the Salvation Army, or Lee Church Congregational.
