BAILEY: Kenneth "Ken" G. , 68, of Barnet Center, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003,
at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury. He
was born in Somerville, Mass., July 31, 1934, the son of Elroy and Mary
Twombly) Bailey. Mr. Bailey served his country during the Korean War in
the U.S. Air Force. He worked for NSA Industries (household products) as
a machinist. Other local jobs included Kilfasset Dairy. Ken was fond of
maple sugaring, four-wheeling, fishing and hunting, and he was always
ready for a game of horseshoes. He was a former member of the Elks.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla (Goss) Bailey of Barnet Center;
children, Laurie and husband Reginald Emmons of Burke, Jeana and
husband Ray Desilets of St. Johnsbury, Elroy and wife Diana Bailey of
Alton, N.H., William "Bill" and wife Tammi Bailey of North Danville, Suzy
and husband Greg Broome of Wheelock, and Matthew Hawkins and
Meredith Hawkins, both of Barnet. He is also survived by five sisters,
Charlotte and husband Neal Blodgett of Waterford, Marilyn and husband
Ronald Clifford of Lyndonville, Brenda and husband Steve Simpson of
Kirby, Barbara Sahlin and Shawna Wilkerson, both of Lyndonville; 10
grandchildren, Ryan, Erica, Robin, Nicquelle, Daniel, Ashley, Hilary,
Tanner, Dillan and Bailey; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Emmons of
Springfield; and his former wife, Donna Bailey of Reno, Nev. He was
predeceased by two brothers, Homer and Henry Bailey; and a sister, Judy
Gray. Friends are invited to meet the family at Sayles Funeral Home,
Friday, July 11, 6-8 p.m. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 12,
at 11 a.m., at the Presbyterian Church of Barnet Center, with the Rev. John
Sanderson officiating. Burial will be held at the Barnet Center Cemetery.
