June Blodgett Sager entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2012. She was 79. June was born on June 1, 1933, in North Danville, Vt., the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Davis) Blodgett. June and her family lived at the Fish Hatchery in St. Johnsbury. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy, graduating in 1952. On June 5, 1953, she married Robert Sager, and they moved to McIndoe Falls, Vt. June worked as a secretary for Impey's Insurance Co., and later for Dr. Thomas, Dr. Houle and Dr. Garcia. She belonged to the McIndoe Falls Ladies Aid Society, and was an organist at the First Congregational Church of McIndoe Falls for many years. She was also a member and treasurer of the church. For five years, June and Bob organized the McIndoe Falls Scottish festival that was a fundraiser for the church's steeple and roof. June is survived by her three children: daughters Jayne Sager Dozois and husband Ray of Pittstown, N.Y.; Susan Sager Mollica and husband Joseph of East Granby, Conn., and son Brian Sager and wife Kim of Bradford, Vt. June is also survived by her sister, Shirley Langmaid and husband Arnold of North Danville, and by her sister-in-law, Charlotte Blodgett, of East St. Johnsbury. June was blessed with seven grandchildren: Andrew Davis and wife Jolene of West Burke; Master Sgt. Michael Davis and wife Sarah of Essex; Tech Sgt. Ryan Davis of Warren; Captain Kathryn Davis Burnell and husband Marc of Passumpsic; Dana Sager of Topsham; Nicholas Mollica of East Granby, Conn., and Carolyn Mollica of East Granby, Conn. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, and by her brothers Neal Blodgett, Malvern Blodgett and his wife Marilyn. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m at the Congregational Church on Route 5 in McIndoe Falls, Vt.
