Jeanne Victoria (Belanger) Bean died peacefully, surrounded by
family, in Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH at the age of 84.
Jeanne is survived by her children; Marty Bean and his wife
Carol of Nampa, Idaho, Mark Bean and his longtime partner
Mary Broome of Lyndonville, VT, Dennis Bean and his fiancé
Jessica Trepanier of Sutton, VT and Darren Bean and his wife
Judi of Columbia, SC; and her brother Maurice Belanger of
Colchester, VT. She is preceded in death by her loving husband,
Leonard Bean, her beautiful son Gregory Bean of Lyndonville,
VT, and her brothers Hank Belanger and Raymond Belanger.
Jeanne also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren,
all sparkles in her eye. Jeanne was born on June 12, 1932 in St Johnsbury, VT to
Henry and Georgiana (Toussaint) Belanger. She graduated from
St Johnsbury Academy. She married Leonard Bean, the love of
her life, on July 10, 1954. After moving to Lyndonville, Jeanne
spent most of her life as homemaker, always there for her husband and her five children.
After the loss of her soul mate, Leonard in 1991, Jeanne's
passion was her children. She looked forward every day to
seeing or talking to one of them on the phone and sharing the
family stories with the others. She was so proud of each of her
children that she beamed whenever she would talk to others
about their accomplishments. Jeanne's focus on loving her
children and maintaining her home can be seen in her children's lives every day.
Jeanne was well-known throughout the community, and always
could be found walking Steven's loop, at the post office, White's
Market, the Bagel Depot or volunteering for the LI Alumni
Association, Red Cross or in the Visitor's Center.
A funeral is scheduled for April 4, 2017 at 1 pm at St Elizabeth's
Church in Lyndonville, VT. All are welcome to attend and
celebrate Jeanne's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations
to The Warrior Thunder Foundation PO Box 5515, Wayland, MA 01778.
