Westbrookville, NY Izetta Ruth "Randy" Welcome, 84, formerly of Newbury, VT, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, at her home in Westbrookville. She was born in Newbury, VT October 1, 1934, a daughter of Cecil E. and Ruth (Minshull) Rand. "Randy" grew up in Newbury and St. Johnsbury, VT, where she graduated high school and went to work as a secretary/stenographer. She married Donald Welcome on November 27, 1954 and they lived most of their life raising their family on Long Island in Centereach, NY. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was happiest when spending time with her family. She enjoyed roller skating, camping and hiking, and once ran a marathon. She loved playing games, reading to, and going on rides at the fair with her two grandsons. She was always, the heart of our family. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Donald Welcome of Westbrookville, and two daughters, Dawn Lee Devine of Westminster, MA, and Penny Lynn DEletto of Westbrookville, NY; two grandsons, Kenneth Edward Autino, and Ethan Welcome D'Eletto, and a brother Everett Rand of Fort Worth, TX; along with several cousins. "Randy" was predeceased by her parents, a sister Amanda Armour in December 1997, and a son-in-law Stephen D'Eletto in April 2013. Funeral services and a calling hour will be on Friday, July 19th at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. The calling hour will begin at 12 noon to the time of the funeral service that will begin at 1 PM, with Pastor Earl Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxbow Cemetery, Newbury, VT.
