Daniel E. Toussaint Sr. , was called to be with our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, in Bethel, N.Y. He was born in
St. Johnsbury on March 8, 1933. He graduated from the St. Johnsbury
Academy in 1951. Dan had many loves - life, music, food, antique cars,
nature, but most of all Dan loved his family. He was predeceased by
his father Roland Toussaint. He is survived his mother, Norma
(Daley); by his beloved wife, best friend and soul mate of 56 years,
Cynthia (Colby); and his six cherished children: Kathleen of Newport,
R.I., Patricia (Wayne) Hillmann of Wescosville, Pa., Norma Jean (Jim)
McCleary of Frederick, Colo., Sharon (Scott Sautter) of Marathon, N.Y.,
Daniel Jr. (Debra) of Vestal, N.Y., and Roland of Apalachin, N.Y.; his 10
adored grandchildren: Heather, Jared, Cheryl (Wil), Joshua (Denise),
Jason, (Jennifer), Adam, Matthew, Leah (Justin), Nathan, and Gina;
three great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Briana, and Brianna; and his
siblings: Marlene Bull (Charlie), Joanne, Paul (Janet), and Tommy
(Mabel). Dan worked for Sears, Roebuck and Company for 39 years
in retail sales and management. A time of remembrance will be held
at Our Lady of Sorrows in Vestal, N.Y., at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008,
and will be followed by Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. There will be
luncheon following the Mass. In lieu of flowers please make donations
to the American Cancer Society in Dan's memory. God Bless you
