Bruce J. Harpin , of Passumpsic, and a former Fairbanks employee,
passed away Monday evening, June 22, 2009, at the age of 73. He had
resided at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center for the past four years.
He was born in St. Johnsbury on Aug. 26, 1935, and was the son of Robert
and Julia (Bruce) Harpin. He is survived by his wife Pauline and their son
Paul L. Harpin (PO Box 828, Lyndonville VT 05851); two sons by previous
marriage, John Harpin, of Putney, and Mark Harpin and wife Debbie, of
East St. Johnsbury and their extended family; step-son Welcome
DeGreenia; step-daughter Cindy Mason; Welcome's daughter Maggie
Corkins; Cindy's children Terry Mason, Welcome Mason, Megan Mason
and Megan's boyfriend Benjamin Stevens; as well as cousins, nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Roberta Harran. Funeral
services will be held this Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m., at the East Barnet
Church. The pastor, the Rev. John Tremblay, will officiate. A light reception
will follow the service. Memorial contributions could be left at the church, or
