Barbara L. Taylor of Danville passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2012
at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington. She was 74.
She was born June 7, 1937 in Morgan, Vt., the daughter of Harry
and Helen (McCabe) Clark. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy and
graduated in the class of 1955. She was proud to have lived her entire life
in the house that she bought when she was 18. She spent most of her
adult working life at the St. Johnsbury
Trucking Company until their closing in 1993.
Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved
going to her grandsons' ball games, and rarely missed them.
She enjoyed photography, and displaying her pictures on the
refrigerator. Halloween was one of Barb's favorite times of the
year because she loved to dress up and hand out candy to the
neighborhood children. She also enjoyed getting in her car and
going for random drives down the back roads of Vermont.
She is survived by her daughter Sandy Wright, her husband
Peter and their son, PJ of Waterford; her son Ray Taylor Jr., his
wife Michele and their son, Zach of St. Johnsbury; a brother
Richard Clark of Kingsley, Penn.; two sisters, Marjorie Clark of
St Johnsbury, and Margaret Delosa and her husband Richard of
Colchester; many nieces and nephews; by life-long friend
Joanie Beattie; and by all her friends at Cardiac Rehab at NVRH
in St Johnsbury. A graveside service will be held this Friday, May 18, 2012 at
1:00 p.m. at the Danville Green Cemetery in Danville, Vt. All
who knew Barb are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be marked in
Barbara's memory to Medical Intensive Care Unit, McClure 4, 111 Colchester Avenue,
Burlington, VT 05401, and also to the
PHTM Program, Care of Development Office, 1 Medical Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
