Ann Marie Dennison , 76, of St. Johnsbury, passed away Wednesday
evening, March 17, 2010, at Northeastern Vermont Regional
Hospital, surrounded by her children. She was born Aug. 16, 1933, in
Berlin, N.H., the daughter of Albert and Marie (Deal) Desrochers. She
attended Berlin graded schools and graduated from St. Johnsbury
Academy in 1951. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and
their daughter Melody, and later in life by her special friend Bert
Bertolini. Ann Marie was very proud of her work as founding
executive director of RCT (Rural Community Transportation). Every
year she looked forward to attending the challenging national
meetings throughout the country. She enjoyed holiday gatherings
with family and attending her grandchildren's events. She very much
enjoyed watching the birds and wildlife. She is survived by three of
her four children, Michele English and husband Gerald of Glover, Mark
Dennison of Lyndonville, and Crystal Rutledge and husband Steven of
Waterford; nine grandchildren, Jason and Ryan Larocque, Ami and
Gerry English, Kelly Dennison, Krystal Morton, and Katie Wilkerson,
and Dylan and Jared Rutledge; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother
Paul Desrochers of St. Johnsbury; two sisters, Carmen Repaz of St.
Johnsbury, and Elaine Pelkey of Lyndonville; nieces and nephews.
This Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m., friends and family will gather
informally at Sayles Funeral Home. At 2:45 p.m. a simple service and
tribute will conclude the gathering. The celebration of her life will
continue at the Rutledge home in Waterford. Memorial contributions,
payable to "Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital" and marked in
Ann Marie Dennison's memory, may be sent to Norris Cotton Cancer
