Alice H. McGee , 75, Highland St., Whitefield, N.H., died after a brief
illness on Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical
Center, Lebanon, N.H. She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the daughter
of Harry and Dorothy (Williams) Nash. She graduated from St.
Johnsbury Academy in St. Johnsbury. She received her nursing
license from Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing and worked as a
registered nurse for Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, N.H., and
Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield, N.H. She and her husband,
William, lived in Twin Mountain and then made their home in
Whitefield. She was a parishioner of St. Matthews Catholic Church,
Whitefield, N.H. She enjoyed gardening, reading, genealogy, and
spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband,
William, in 1982 and her son, David, in 2004. She is survived by
three sons, William McGee, Nashua, N.H, Jerry McGee, Whitefield,
N.H., and Paul McGee, Nashua, N.H.; a daughter, Margaret Greenwood,
Whitefield, N.H.; five grandchildren; a brother, Harry Nash, Hartford,
Vt.; a sister, Clara Kimball, St. Johnsbury, Vt.; and nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007, 2 to 4 p.m. and
6 to 8 p.m., at the Ross Funeral Home, Whitefield Chapel. A Mass of
Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007, 10 a.m., at St.
Matthews Catholic Church with Father George Majka officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Matthews Cemetery, Whitefield, N.H.
