William H. "Bill" Rodd, of 187 Overclyffe Road, in St. Johnsbury, died
unexpectedly Sunday, on Christmas Day. Bill was 83.
He was born in Concord, N.H., on Dec. 24, 1928, the son of William G. and Florence (Wallace) Rodd.
Bill was president of Rodd Roofing founded by his father, William G. Rodd, in 1920.
He is survived by his wife Natalie (Cutting) Rodd whom he married
April 14, 1951; three sons and their wives all of St. Johnsbury:
Stephen and Pamela, Tino and Adrienne, Casey and Cindy; two
grandsons: Jason and Brenda of St. Johnsbury and their son Brandon,
Bill's only great-grandchild, Scott and April of Burke: his brother Sam
and his wife Debbie of Florida; Sam's three daughters, Tina, Tonia
and Toni. Bill was very fond and proud of his "adopted sons" from
Nepal: Mingma, Pasang, C.T., and Chhuldim "Chili" Sherpa; and many cousins residing in
Prince Edward Island. The Club at Old Mill was a dear part of Bill's life. In keeping with Bill's
style, an informal gathering of friends and family will be held at The
Club this Friday, Dec. 30, from 1-4 p.m. (located at 49 Perkins Sreet in
St. Johnsbury). Just come as you are. There will be no calling hours or formal service.
