TURNER: Miss Virginia S. , 76, of 19 Steeple Place in St.
Johnsbury, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at the
Brookside Rehab Center in Bradford. She was born in Lyme,
N.H., March 18, 1925. She was the daughter of Hazen Sr. and
Christine (Lake) Turner. Virginia was a 1943 graduate of St.
Johnsbury Academy and had served as class agent. Over the
years she was employed by Fairbanks, Tap and Die, the state of
Vermont, and the Fairbanks Museum. When in good health, she
loved to travel. She is survived by her brother, Hazen Turner Jr. of
St. Johnsbury, with whom she made her home, and twin brothers
Robert Turner and wife Gertrude of St. Johnsbury, and Richard
Turner of Greenfield, Mass.; two nieces and three nephews.
Memorial services will be held this Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the
South Congregational Church, with a reception following
downstairs at the church. Interment will be at the family's
convenience in Lyme, N.H. Memorial contributions may be

Montpelier, VT 05602, or to the American Diabetes Association, 7
Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
