Roseilda "Rose" B. Corson , 74, of Blandin Street, Bethlehem, N.H.,
passed away at the Littleton Regional Hospital on Monday, Feb. 13, 2006.
She was born in Lyndonville, Vt., daughter of Edward and
Aurora (Cyr) Bates. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy, Class
of 1949. She attended the University of Vermont, and graduated from
the NH Technical College in 1969. She lived for a number of years in
Whitefield prior to moving to Bethlehem in 1973. She worked as a
nurse most of her lifetime in the North Country, including at the
Littleton Hospital; the Lafayette Health Care Center, Franconia; the
Daughters of Charity Convent, Littleton; and lastly as a private duty
nurse, retiring in 1999. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen, in 2003.
She is survived by two sons, John Corson of Brandon, Miss.,
and Matthew Colburn of Montpelier, Vt.; two grandchildren; two
brothers, Edward Bates of Waterford, Vt., and Alvin Bates of Maine;
and a sister, Betty Sargent of St. Petersburg, Fla. A memorial service
will be held at the Ross Funeral Home, Littleton Chapel, on Friday,
Feb. 17, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place in the spring in the Maple
Street Cemetery, Bethlehem. Those who wish may make donations in
her memory to the Littleton Area Hospice, 600 St. Johnsbury Road,
Littleton, NH 03561; or to the Bethlehem Ambulance.
