Roger G. Donna, 83, of 103 Harrison Ave. St. Johnsbury passed away Wednesday, July 11, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Roger was born March 17, 1929 in St. Johnsbury the son of Leo and Marie (Poliquin) Donna. Roger was a 1948 graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. On October 1, 1955 he married Jane Wilkins at Notre Dame des Victoires Church in St. Johnsbury who predeceased him in 2006. They celebrated 50 years of marriage with their family in 2005. He took his children to Maine every summer, a tradition his children and grandchildren still continue. He also enjoyed spending time working on his land on Breezy Hill. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was very strong in his faith. He is survived by his children Larry, Stephen, David, Susan and Linda and her husband, Tim Hartwell. Also, he leaves his grandchildren Anne, Cami and Paul Donna and Timothy and Christopher Hartwell. He also leaves his siblings Claude Donna, Gertrude Turner and husband Robert, Dorothy Leonard and husband Reg, and Normand and Susan Donna. He leaves in-laws, Gerard Chaloux, Sara Donna, Priscilla Barrett, Beverly Robinson and Stanley Wilkins and his wife Mary, and Georgette Wilkins. In addition to his parents, his sister Gemma Chaloux, brother Robert Donna, in-laws Mary Jane Donna, Kenneth Wilkins, Gordon Lynaugh, Robert Wilkins and his wife Elfrieda, Richard Wilkins and his wife Anne, Roland Barrett, and Donald Robinson predeceased him. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, at 1 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church Main St. in St. Johnsbury with Fr. Patrick Forman officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery following the funeral.
