Patricia "Patsy" (Blow) Russell, 87, of 71 Bluebird Lane, Lyndonville, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014,
at The Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center in Lyndonville.
She was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Montpelier, Vt., the daughter of the late Thomas and Madelyne
(Hollingshead) Blow. Although Patricia spent her earliest years in Montpelier and Ontario, Canada, most
of her childhood was spent on Pleasant Street in St. Johnsbury. After graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1945,
she worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone. She married Arnold William Russell in 1947,
Patricia "Patsy" (Blow) Russell who pre-deceased her by exactly 11 years. They resided for many years on
Bible Hill in St. Johnsbury, Vt., before retiring to Sheffield, Vt.
Along with her husband and parents, Patricia is pre-deceased by her sister,
D'Anne Hamel. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda and
Fred MacKenzie of Colchester, Richard and Debbie Russell of Sheffield, Tim and
Kim Russell of St. Johnsbury, Erin Davis of Lyndonville, and Holly Rouelle of
Williston; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sister-in-laws; and several nieces
and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the family lot in the St. Johnsbury Center
Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31. There are no calling hours.
