Patricia Wood Dodge, 83, of St. Johnsbury, Vt., passed away on
Dec. 14, 2012. She was born in Barre, Vt. on Nov. 22, 1929 to A.
Douglas and Caroline D. Wood. She graduated from St.
Johnsbury Academy in 1947 and received her Bachelor of
Science degree in bacteriology from the University of New
Hampshire in 1951 graduating cum laude. Pat was married to
David "Duffy" Dodge on Sept. 6, 1952 and they just recently
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Pat is survived by her
husband, their four children (David, Peter, Carol and Susan) and
five grandchildren (David, Joshua, Jensen, Caroline and Mary),
and sister-in-law Sunny Wood. She was predeceased by her brother Don.
Pat was an active member of the South Congregational Church.
She was President and school board member of the Arlington
Elementary School PTA. She was a member of the Board of
Directors of Burke Mountain Academy. She volunteered for over
25 years at NVRH. She was the Director of the American Foreign
Exchange (AFS) program for St. Johnsbury. Pat loved quilting
and sewing. She was a devoted mother and wife and spent many
years following her children and husband as they ski raced around the world.
Memorial services will be held at the South Congregational
Church this Wed., Dec. 19 at 2 p.m.
