Norman L. Chase, 89, of Temple Terrace, Fla., passed away on Feb. 10, 2012.
Originally from St. Johnsbury, Vt., he graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy,
class of 1940, and later from Bentley College in Boston and interned at the Ford
Motor Company. In WWII he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in the European Theater. He joined
the Ralston Purina Company serving as Director of Administration and Credit
Manager, retiring in 1984 after 38 years of loyal service.
The Chases traveled extensively after retirement and found many
new friends along their journeys. He and his wife, Norma of 64
years, are members of the Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church
and he was a longtime member of Kiwanis.
Mr. Chase was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard and
Arthur Chase. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Prescott
Chase, daughter Carol Jean Ferguson of Marietta, Ga.,
grandchild Kate Koulouris of Atlanta, Ga., and great grandson
James George Koulouris, his sister Ruth Perkins of Southbridge,
Mass., and several nieces and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.,
Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church at 420 Bullard Parkway.
Family will receive friends after the service in fellowship hall.
Interment will be held at the Veterans National Cemetery in
Bushnell, Fla. Memorials may be made to St. Johnsbury
Academy, Life Path Hospice or charity of choice.
