PELOW: Mildred "Millie" (Bennett) , 79, of Lyndon, Vt., passed away at
her residence on Monday, June 28, 2004. She was born on Sept. 30, 1924,
in Bennett, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Willamine
(Cochrane) Bennett. She is also predeceased by her husband, Reginald
Pelow, and by her sister, Ida Langmaid. She attended St. Johnsbury
Academy. Before retiring, she worked as an operator for the telephone
company. She was a member of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church,
the Enterprise Grange No. 16, and the Telephone Pioneers. She is
survived by her three daughters, Sandra Lang of San Rafael, Calif.,
Margaret Tourville of South Hero, Vt., Karen Hornak and her husband
Thomas of Perrineville, N.J.; by seven grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren; by her brother, Herbert Bennett of St. Johnsbury
Center, Vt., by her five sisters, Frances Pageau of Farmington, N.H.,
Rowena Miles of West Burke, Vt., Thelma Griggs of Williston, Vt., Hazel
Leggett of Williston, Vt., Muriel Heath of Lyndonville, Vt.; and by several
nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held June 30, from 7-9 p.m. at
the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at the Lyndonville United
Methodist Church on Friday, July 2 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Barbara Dwyer
officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in West Burke, Vt. Those
