Marilyn Louise Moulton, age 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 in Sebring, Fla. She was born Jan. 29, 1931 in St. Johnsbury, Vt., daughter of Max D. and Viola (Legare) Moulton.
She attended Summer Street School and graduated from the St. Johnsbury Academy in 1949. After graduating from Bryant and Stratton Commercial School in Boston in 1951 she went to work at WNAC TV and Radio and continued her education at night, graduating from Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in 1958 and Bentley College in 1962. After moving back to St. Johnsbury in 1991, she enjoyed volunteering at the Fairbanks Museum and Life Line at NVRH. She always had a favorite project going; quilting, knitting, crocheting and especially collecting all things enjoyed high above housekeeping. Another favorite was enjoying an occasional lobster & ribeye steak at her favorite place-Willoughby Lake. She was a member of the 251 Club, visiting all the towns in Vermont then searching VT and NH to take pictures of covered bridges.
She was a lifetime member of North Congregational Church where she was active in United Workers, especially the craft group, treasurer of the Mission and Parish Committees and other activities at the Church. She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Massachusetts and Vermont as well as the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and the Order of the Amaranth in Massachusetts.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
