Marguerite Priscilla Willey, 87, longtime resident of
Allen Court in St. Johnsbury, passed away at the St.
Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center, July 17, 2015, with family at her side.
Marguerite was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, on Dec. 8, 1927,
the daughter of Charles and Frances (Legendre) Willey.
She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1945. For 31 years she was employed
with the Passumpsic Savings Bank, retiring as an assistant treasurer.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She was devoted to her faith and
volunteered many hours for the church and at St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center.
She is survived by her brothers Gerald 'Bud' Willey of
St. Johnsbury and Richard 'Dick' Willey of Barre; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn LeClerc, her brothers Bernard Willey
and Carroll Willey, as well as good friends Rita and Claire Morency.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at St. John
the Evangelist Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will
be a visiting hour at the funeral home preceding the Mass on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
