STOREY: Madeline H. (Ovitt) , of Plains, Ga., passed away June 12, 2002,
at the Lillian Carter Nursing Home, Plains, Ga. She was
born Aug. 29, 1924, in Danville, Vt., the daughter of Clyde B. and
Mary Elizabeth (Marin) Ovitt. She graduated from St. Johnsbury
Academy in 1942. She moved to Florida where she spent most of
the rest of her life, moving to Moultrie, Ga., in 2000. She was
predeceased by her husband Walter Storey; her sister Margaret
Ovitt; and brothers, Frederick, Richard and Charles Wesley Ovitt.
She is survived by her children, Pete Storey and wife Mickey of
Alvia, Fla., Betty Dean and husband Robert of Clyde, Texas,
Larry Storey of Moultrie, Diann and husband Darrell of Moultrie;
her sisters, Charlotte Simpson of St. Johnsbury, Ann Ovitt of
Danville; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Ovitt of Waterford; and several
grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Cobb Funeral Chapel in West
Moultrie, Ga., Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m.
