STUART: Lorraine , 73, of Monroe, died Thursday, April 10, 2003,
in Danville at the home of her daughter. She was born Oct. 8,
1929 in St. Johnsbury, the daughter of John and Lorraine
(Gagnon) Gammell. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy and
later married John M. Stuart; he predeceased her May 28, 2001.
She was an active member of the North Monroe United Methodist
Church, and enjoyed rummage sales and bazaars at the church.
She was a dairy farmer and worked with her husband for many
years. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Scott
Stuart and wife Sue of Monroe, Steven Fenoff and wife Joanne of
Danville, Stanley Fenoff and wife Kathy of Danville, Sandra Ward
and husband Gordon of Monroe, and Shirley Gillander and
husband Patrick of Danville; her mother, Lorraine Gammell of St.
Johnsbury; nine brothers and sisters, John Gammell and wife
Joan, Helen Laberge and husband Robert, Dick Gammell and
wife Connie, Bob Gammell and wife Jini, Roger Gammell and wife
Ernestine, Kenny Gammell and wife Joann, Jimmy Gammell and
wife Lynn, Sharon Sinclair and companion Carroll "Bub" Noyes,
and Victor Gammell; five grandchildren, Todd Fenoff, Teresa
Litchfield, Trent Fenoff, Christopher Ward, and Emily Ward; two
step-grandchildren, Tara Huntoon and William Huntoon; two
great-grandchildren; her faithful companion MIA; several nieces
and nephews; and a very special friend, Connie Davis of
Springfield, Vt. She was predeceased by a sister, Viola. A
memorial service will be held Friday, April 18, at 1 p.m., at the
North Monroe Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be
