Lorraine (Gosselin) Letourneau, 81, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the Concord Hospice House, after a brief illness. She was born April 14, 1930, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the daughter of the late George A. and Albertine (Robitaille) Gosselin. Mrs. Letourneau graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy and St. Johnsbury Academy. She worked in distribution and advertising for Caledonian Record and as secretary to the headmaster at St. Johnsbury Academy. In 1952, she moved to Agawam, Mass., and later to Springfield, Mass., where she was employed at Mass. Mutual Insurance Co. She got married in 1954 and moved to Manchester and opened MIC dept. office for General Motors. She worked in membership and insurance for AAA, Manchester. In 1974, was employed by Stewart Nelson Co. in Concord, the Cyr Rogers agency in Allenstown and the Insurance Exchange in Manchester, until retiring in 1995.She also enjoyed working at the Hooksett Polls. Mrs. Letourneau was a previous member of Business and Professional Women Association in Vermont; charter member of Insurance Women of Central New Hampshire; member of AOA, Concord; YMCA and was in the senior line dancing group and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett. Family members includes her husband of 57 years, Andrew (Andy) Letourneau of Hooksett; one daughter, Lisa Towne and her husband, Darren, and their son, Robert Albee, of Hooksett; two brothers, Robert Gosselin and Michael and Sandra Gosselin, all from Springfield, Mass.; brother-in-law, Frank Loya of Concord, N.C., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Claire Loya; and a sister-in-law, Marie Gosselin. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, July 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday, July 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., corner of Union Street. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 11 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hooksett.
