Barnes, of Plymouth, Josephine C. (Desilet) , age 85, died on March 17th, 2006 at the Radius Health Care Center in Plymouth. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Barnes and the late Frank Beede. She was loving mother of Stephen Beede of Sacramento, CA, Lynn Cummings of Hyannis and the late Jane Dunning . She was the beloved step-mother of John R. Barnes of Weymouth and Janet Carco of Hudson, MA. Cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of several. The funeral will take place on Monday morning at 10:15 from the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St.,Plymnouth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church at 11:00 a.m. Friends mqay call at the Cartmell Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be inVine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth. She was educated in Vermont and was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. She had worked for the State in the City of Boston as a clerical worker in the Civil Engineering Dept. She also worked as a seamstress and was heavily involved in and enjoyed doing hand crafts as one of her favorite hobbies. She liked playing BINGO and played on a Bowling league.
