LEOMINSTER - Joseph E. Ouellette, 86, of Leominster, died
Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Life Care Center of
Leominster, surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 29, 1928, in Hull, Quebec, Canada. He
was the son of the late Adelard and Aurelie (Landry) Ouellette.
Joseph was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII, attaining
the rank of Fireman Second Class, he earned the WWII Victory
Medal, and the American Theater Ribbon.
He worked as a printer for the Fitchburg Sentinel and
Leominster Enterprise for many years.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Parish in Leominster, the
Knights of Columbus Council #406, the Leominster Elks,
American Legion, Catholic Order of Forester, V.F.W. where he
was the Chaplin, Franco Vets, D. A. V. and the AmVets.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence (Pryor)
Ouellette, of Leominster; his son, Denis Ouellette of
Leominster; his two daughters, Pamela A. Ouellette of Rhode
Island, Theresa M. Ouellette of California.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Larry Ouellette, Albert
Ouellette, Fred Ouellette, and Edmund Ouellette, and two
sisters, Bertha Choquette, Cecilia Ouellette.
Joseph's funeral will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015,
from the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster,
with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia
Church, 168 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial with Military
Honors will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Leominster. Calling
hours will be Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the St. Cecilia Restoration Fund, 168 Mechanic
St., Leominster, MA 01453.
