LAGRANGEVILLE NY - Jacqueline B. DePalma, 87, a resident of LaGrangeville since 1970 and
formerly of Staten Island, died on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck.
Born in Fairfield, ME on September 21, 1924, she was the daughter of Charles and Cordellia
Roy DePalma. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Veterans Administration
Medical Center. She was a devoted parishioner of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church in
LaGrangeville and was formerly a member of St. Denis Church where she sang in the choir and
cleaned the church. Jacqueline was a Red Cross volunteer and enjoyed bowling and bridge.
On September 25, 1948, she married Joseph DePalma who survives at home. She is also
survived by her children, Michele VanHoesen of Highland and Charlie DePalma of
LaGrangeville; and her grandchildren, Nicole VanHoesen, Casandra, Nicholas and Miranda DePalma.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895
Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at
10am at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in
