LANGMAID: Ida "Mem" Bennett , 78, of St. Johnsbury, died at her
residence Tuesday, June 5, 2001. She was born Feb. 12, 1923, in
Bennett, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late Wilfred and
Williamine (Cochrane) Bennett. She was a graduate of St. Johnsbury
Academy, Class of 1942, and was a member of the Goss Hollow
Homemakers and the North Danville Community Club. Besides her
parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Philip Langmaid, and a
grandson, Aaron Root. She is survived by her children and their
spouses, Alana and Edward Jarrosak of Lyndonville, Phil Ann and
Richard Jenkins of St. Johnsbury, Alan and Susan Langmaid of St.
Johnsbury, Lee Ann Beattie of North Danville, and Arlan "Chip"
Langmaid of St. Johnsbury; her grandchildren, Jennifer Pal and John Pal,
Heather Woods and her husband Bryan, Meridith Berry and her
husband Eric, John Jenkins and Melissa Jenkins, Philip Beattie and Plynn
"Peter" Beattie, and Jeffrey Langmaid and Kelly Langmaid; her
great-grandchildren, Bryan, Kate-Lynn and Samantha Pal, and Jade
Berry; her sisters, Mildred Pelow of Lyndon, Frances Pageau of
Farmington, N.H., Rowena Miles of West Burke, Thelma Griggs of
Williston, Hazel Leggett and her husband William of Williston, and
Muriel Heath and her husband Darwin of Lyndonville. There will be no
calling hours. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at
the North Danville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Meister officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery. Those who wish
