Mrs. Dorothy Rossier of Sutton passed away Saturday evening, May 24, 2014.
She had resided at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center since April of last year.
She was born in Barton, Vt., on April 8, 1928, one of 10 children born to Donald
and Beatrice (Labor) Larocque. She attended the former McIndoe Falls
Academy. On Nov. 15, 1946, she married Samuel Rossier.
Her family will remember her as a busy hardworking homemaker. She was a
parishioner at St. Elizabeth's Church in Lyndonville, the VFW Auxiliary of Post 793
in St. Johnsbury, and the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and
knitting mittens for friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Sam; five children: Anthony Rossier and wife
Priscilla, Marsha Cherington, Donna White and husband Earl, Samuel Jr. and
wife Maggie, Susan Brill and husband Steve; 11 grandchildren: her brother
Leigh Larocque and wife Beverly; nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Lyndonville this Wednesday, May 28, at 11
a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
later at Sutton Village Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
