Dorothy Ross , 83, of Hooker Hill in St. Johnsbury, passed away Tuesday,
June 8, 2010. She was born here in St. Johnsbury July 26, 1926, the
daughter of Arthur and Harriet (Osgood) Rich. She graduated from St.
Johnsbury Academy in 1944 and went to work at the old St. Johnsbury
Glovers. On Feb. 26, 1946, she and Guy Ross were united in marriage at the
parsonage of Grace United Methodist Church where she is still a member.
She is survived by her husband Guy; son David Ross and wife Denise of
Cabot; daughter Bonnie Ross of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; grandson Justin Ross of
St. Albans and wife Kelly; Denise's two children Emily and Matthew
Goodrich; five nieces, Nancy, Kathy, Donna, Susan and Carol. She was
predeceased by a brother, Anson Rich, and a sister, Doris Ross. Funeral
services will be held at Sayles Funeral Home on Monday, June 14 at 11 a.m.
The Rev. John Marshall will officiate. Visiting hours will be held at the
funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions
