Consuella "Connie" Corliss, 87, of Queensbury, New York, died
on Dec. 11, 2015. Funeral arrangements by: Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home.
Consuella 'Connie'(Johnson) Corliss, 87, of Glens Falls, NY
passed away suddenly on December 11, 2015 at Glens Falls
Hospital. She was born on April 16, 1928 in St. Johnsbury, VT
to the late Clarence and Irene (Garno) Johnson. Connie
graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. She married her high
school sweetheart, Paul Corliss, and together they raised three
children. Paul often made her smile by saying he married her
for her beautiful blue eyes. They were happily married for over
fifty years. Connie's greatest loves were her family, her music,
and her homes in Milford, CT and Englewood, FL. A lifelong
Methodist church soloist, she delighted congregations in several
states with her unusually pure soprano voice.
In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her
husband, Paul Corliss, and her brother, Robert Johnson.
Survivors include her sister, Dawn Chandler of Phoenix, AZ; her
daughters, Marcia Johnson, of Queensbury, NY and Sherrie
Schallack, of Vernon, CT; a son, Scott Corliss, of Milford, CT,
two grandsons, Brett Nemeth and Jeremy Johnson; a granddaughter,
Sarah Corliss and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Mikaela Nemeth.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Because of her love of music and children, memorial donations
may be made to the Youth Arts Institute, Charter Oak Cultural
Center, 21 Charter Oak Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106.
