Connie I. Davis , 82, of Park Street, Springfield, Vt., died Thursday morning at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was born December 27, 1924 in Wells River, Vt., the daughter of Edward and Masie (Adams) Dwinell. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1942. She married Donald C. Davis on October 15, 1955 in Springfield. She was employed by Central Vermont Public Service Corp. in the Springfield office and was supervisor of the line crews for many years. She was a longtime member of the North Springfield Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, knitting and sewing. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Rolling Wheels Chapter of the Good Sam Camping Association, as well as the Precision Valley Square Dancing Club and the Hawks Mountain Snowmobile Club. Survivors include a son, Winston Adams and his wife, Geri of Rutland, Vt.; two daughters, Barbara Sicely and her husband Paul of Marshfield, Vt.; and Cindy Aldrich and her husband Marty of Springfield; a stepson, Donald "Bruce" Davis and his wife, Peggy of Claremont, N.H.; and a stepdaughter, Donna Eaholtz of Springfield. Also nine grandchildren: Charles Rose, Carleton Rose, Donovan Davis, Christian Davis, Scott Owens, Andrea Valente, Damien Davis, Katibeth Pratt and Christopher Pratt; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale Dwinell of Baltimore, Vt.; her companion, Miller Bibens of Springfield; her two beloved cats, Bailey and Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald in 2003; by a granddaughter, Connie Rose; and her two brothers, Gilbert Dwinell and Sterling Dwinell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the North Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Lois Pinton, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in North Springfield. A luncheon will follow the burial, back at the church. Friends may call at the North Springfield Baptist Church on Monday morning, one hour prior to the service.
