Beatrice Aurora Descoteaux Johnson , 83, a retired secretary and
homemaker, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, in Rockledge,
Fla. Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs.
Johnson was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., on Nov. 29, 1921, and
graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. She worked with her
husband Edward at Johnson Furniture Store in Mt. Jewett, Pa.,
from 1947 to 1958, then moved to Brevard County to work as a
secretary for Rockwell International and Aeorojet General. She is
survived by her sons, Ted Johnson of Poquoson, Va., and Brian
Johnson of Rockledge, Fla.; daughter, Denise Benjamin of
Orlando, Fla.; sister, Jean Lamothe of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; brother,
Leo Descoteaux of Barnet, Vt.; seven grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept.
20, from 6-8 p.m., at the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home on
Rockledge, Fla. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home
on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m., with burial following at
Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge.
