Barbara M. Prue , age 77, of 155 Pearl St., St. Johnsbury, Vt., passed
away Thursday afternoon, March 16, 2006, at the Northeastern
Vermont Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1928, in St. Johnsbury,
daughter of the late Austin E. and Gertrudge M. (Coolbeth) Longmore.
She married Edward J. Prue; he predeceased her Aug. 31, 1998. Barbara
worked for the Merchants Bank, 34 years. Barbara was a graduate of St.
Johnsbury Academy. Barbara is survived by her son, Richard E. Prue and
his wife, Pamela J. Austin, of Victory; a granddaughter, Krystal A Gilbert
and her husband, Mike, of St. Augustine, Fla.; a grandson, John P. Prue
and his wife, Tara, of Lyndonville; three great-grandchildren, Jake and
Megan Gilbert and Colby Prue. A private family gathering will be held at
the Pearsons Funeral Home in Lyndonville. There will be no public
calling hours; burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Northfield, Vt.,
this spring. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to
