Aline R. (Lacroix) Laliberte , 82, of Lyndonville and formerly of St.
Johnsbury, died Wednesday afternoon May 13, 2009, at
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was
born Feb. 23, 1927, in St. Johnsbury, the only daughter of Donat
and Lucille (St. Jean) Lacroix. Aline was a graduate of Mount St.
Joseph Academy in St. Johnsbury. On Aug. 16, 1948, she
married Ronald H. Laliberte. They lived in Boston where they
began raising their family, and moved back to St. Johnsbury in
1966. Aline loved people and worked at Gauthier's Pharmacy in
St. Johnsbury for 17 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, was
an avid reader, and loved spending summers at their camp in
Island Pond with family and friends. She was predeceased by her
husband Ronald this past April 26. Survivors include her two
children, Christine Oakes and husband Alex of Passumpsic, and
Mark Laliberte and wife Susan of West Charleston; seven
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Lacroix
and wife Agnes of Nashua, N.H., and Gustave Lacroix and wife
Elaine of Maryland; a brother in-law, Leopold Laliberte and wife
Ann of Florida; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated in St. Johnsbury Saturday, May 16, at 1 p.m., at
St. John the evangelist church with the Rev. Patrick Forman
celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St.
Johnsbury. There will be no visiting hours. Contributions made in
