Arlene Pollock Cleland of Los Alamitos, CA passed away peacefully on April 12, 2013. She was 82 years old. She was born on August 21, 1930 in St. Johnsbury, VT. She was the first of three children born to Earl and Irene Pollock. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1948. She married Robert K. Cleland in 1953 and they had 3 sons. In 1967 the family moved from VT to Long Beach CA. In 1968 they then moved to Los Alamitos CA where they raised their sons. In 1970 Arlene and her husband Robert started their family business, Cleland Sales Corporation, where Arlene worked until a few years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert K. Cleland, son Thomas R. Cleland and sister Jacqueline Kelly. She is survived by son, Robert T. Cleland, daughter in law, Rhonda Cleland; son, James M. Cleland, daughter in law, Jeanette Cleland; daughter in law, Danita Cleland; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brother J. Michael Pollock, sister in law, Mary Pollock and numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
