Mrs. Annabelle Parker, longtime St. Johnsbury
elementary school teacher, passed away suddenly
Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the age of 86.
She was born in East Ryegate, Vt., on Aug. 31, 1927,
one of four daughters born to Pearl and Millie
(Whitehill) Heath. Her three sisters predeceased her:
Amelia Rexford, Helene McKenzie, and June Kendall.
Mrs. Parker taught first and second grade principally at
the Frank R. Adams School. She loved sewing, making
ceramics, and doing crafts. She also enjoyed square-
dancing, embroidering, reading, and word finds. She
was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four children: Linda Goyet and
husband Dale of Waterford, Garey Parker of St. Johnsbury, Deborah Heller and
husband Dave of Morrisville, Dianah Hale and husband Tim of St. Johnsbury; 16
grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in St. Johnsbury Wednesday, March 26, at 2 p.m.
at the Grace United Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Kirk Thompson,
officiating. Committal services will be held in May at the Groton Village Cemetery.
