William Anthony Mollica, age 92, of Manawa, died on Friday, February 8, 2013, at the New
London Family Medical Center. He was born on June 9, 1920, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, son of
the late Anthony and Albina (Costa) Mollica. On June 19, 1945, he was united in marriage to
Mary Munsinger at Ft. Bliss, Texas. William proudly served his country in the U. S. Army serving
during World War II in North Africa and Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze
Star with an Oak Leaf Cluster. He was employed at the Great A & P Tea Company for over 25
years as a produce broker. In 1980, the family settled in Manawa and operated the Park N' Shop
Convenience Store. He is survived by his wife Mary; 3 sons: Joseph (Joanne), John, and Chris (Ronda).
He is further survived by four grandchildren: Ann, Andrew, Anthony and Adam; also two sisters:
Joanne and Nancy and a brother Onie. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ralph and a sister Betty.
The Funeral Mass for William will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St.
Patrick's Catholic Church in the Town of Lebanon with Msgr. Dennis Lally officiating. Burial will
be in Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King. A visitation for William will be held directly at the
church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. A gathering will take place
following the mass at the Masonic Lodge in Manawa.
