Walter G. McKee , of the Maple Ridge Trailer Park in Lyndonville, died peacefully at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at the age of 93. Formerly of St. Johnsbury, he had owned and operated Walt's Auto Body on Bay Street. In 1931, Walter graduated as valedictorian of his class at St. Johnsbury Trade School. This past June he thoroughly enjoyed attending his 75th class reunion. On April 1, 1993, his wife, Miriam (Skinner) McKee, passed away. He is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Berry of Lyndonville; a son, Walter Arthur McKee of Polson, Mont., and their families. Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sayles Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Powers officiating. Committal services will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to the start of the service. A complete obituary will be forthcoming.
