KILBURN: Theodora H. , 86, of Windsor, Conn., died Monday,
Aug. 30, 2004. Born Theodora Hazel Simpson, Aug. 9, 1918, in
St. Johnsbury, Vt., Teddy became the adopted daughter of Enos
and Sadie Kittredge. She graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy
and earned her LPN at Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing in
Hanover, N.H. Teddy married John E. Kilburn and lived numerous
years in St. Johnsbury, Vt., East Hartford, Conn., and Holmes
Beach, Fla., working as a nurse for private physicians and as a
visiting nurse for the state of Connecticut. In retirement Teddy and
John spent their winters in Florida and summers at Norton Pond,
Vt. She loved swimming, long walks and reading. Her husband
John predeceased her in 2000. Teddy leaves her sister, Audry A.
Pollard of Harbor City, Calif.; son, Rodney F. Kilburn of
Burlington, Conn.; granddaughter, Christine L. Kilburn of Broad
Brook, Conn.; and great-granddaughter, Ashley, age 15. A
memorial service for Teddy and John will be held in St. Johnsbury
on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, those desiring can
