Noel Raymond St. Laurent Sr., 91, of Lyndeborough, NH died July 5, 2011 at his home. Noel was born in Nashua, NH on December 26, 1919. He was the son of Albert and Albina (Ouellette) St. Laurent. His family moved to St. Johnsbury, VT, where he went to school and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1938. Noel enlisted in the Air Force in 1942 and served his country as a Aircraft Navigator and Flight Officer flying in B17 during WWII. After returning he and his family traveled around the country. In 1970 he married his wife Gloria (Gardner) St. Laurent and they settled in Lyndeborough, NH in 1979. They also were residents of Colebrook, NH for a short while. Noel worked for Palmer Brothers and for Meldon and Harry Cleaners as a driver, Stanley Home Products in sales, and as the proprietor of his own business, Mutual Goods, for many years. Noel held a private pilot license and enjoyed to fly and to travel. He also enjoyed boating and deep sea fishing. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Noel and his wife Gloria helped raise three families, Gloria's niece and nephew, Sharon, and Michael Rodgers and granddaughters Melissa and Melina St. Laurent. Noel was a very caring man and would help anyone, he will be sadly missed. Noel is survived by three sons, Christopher St. Laurent and his wife Halina of Fitzwilliam, NH, Noel St. Laurent Jr. of Milford, NH, and Ronald Marois and his wife Doris of Nashua, NH; one daughter, Yolanda Buhman of Granite City, IL. He was predeceased by a son, Michael "Mickey" St. Laurent; 3 sisters, Sister Yolanda St. Laurent of Methuen, Mass., Loretta Jarry of Hudson, NH, Lillian and her husband Normand Lesieur, of Nashua, NH. Noel was predeceased by his brothers, Conrad, Albert, Paul, and Robert. Noel has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of Noel's Life will be celebrated in the United Church of Lyndeborough Center on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:00 am. The committal of ashes will be in the St. Louis Cemetery in Nashua, NH. Memorial donations can be made to the United Church of Lyndeborough, PO Box 8, Lyndeborough, NH 03082-008.
