Marjorie R. Converse, a Lyndonville resident, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at The
Pines Health & Rehab. Center. She was 93. The daughter of Alfred and Ella (Davis) Peake, she
was born Feb. 24, 1918 in Peacham. She married Frances C. Converse on Sept. 27, 1944;
he predeceased her Nov. 22, 2005. Marjorie worked as a bookkeeper and US Census worker for many years.
She enjoyed birding, finding and exploring covered bridges, as well as keeping records on them.
She is survived by her son, Clay Converse and wife Jane of Dryden, N.Y.; her grandchildren,
Karen Kucowski and Husband George, Wendy Rose Converse, Andrew Clay Converse; great
granddaughter, Ava Grace Kucowski; a sister, Lilla Watson; many nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her brothers. A memorial service will be held at the South Congregational
Church Tuesday, June 14, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Passumpsic Cemetery.
