Marion J. Radford, age 99, of St. Johnsbury, VT, passed away at
St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Marion was born in St. Johnsbury on July 31, 1917, daughter to
Fred and Kate (McDonald) Radford. She was raised and
educated in St. Johnsbury and worked as a stitcher at St.
Johnsbury Glovers from 1944 to 1976.
Marion was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a
Red Sox fan. Family remembers her as 'very quiet'.
She is survived by 3 nieces: Catherine Warrell and husband,
Ralph, of St. Johnsbury, VT, Marion Parsons of Dover, NH, and
Madeline Easter of St. Johnsbury, VT.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Ernest in 1980 and
Donald in 1988; 2 sisters: Catherine in 1951 and Myrtle in
1982; and 2 step-sisters: Williamina Grady and Catherine Lyster.
A graveside service will be celebrated at a later date in the
spring at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
