Howard A. McKinstry of St. Johnsbury, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at The Pines in Lyndon. Howard was born in St. Johnsbury on Nov. 5, 1916, to Henry and Grace (Simpson) McKinstry. He attended Portland Street School and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1933. He was a very active member of Green Mountain Grange No. 1 since 1939. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1925. Howard made his home with his sisters Doris and Clara on Harrison Avenue. Doris passed on in 1995, Clara in 2003. Howard had since resided at The Pines. Funeral services for Howard will be held Monday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
