SPRAGUE: Helen D. , 85, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at the Wayland Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Holliston, Mass. She was the daughter of George and Eva (Dyson) Donahue and the wife of the late Arthur G. Sprague Jr., who passed away in 1988. A graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, she was a telephone operator until her marriage to Arthur in 1942. She was a resident of Gorham, Maine, for 50 years. She was active in youth activities including Little League, and was a volunteer at the Maine Medical Center, working over 5,000 hours. She also enjoyed skating, snowshoeing, gardening and oil painting. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kirk of Holliston, Mass.; a son, David Sprague of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Melissa and Susan Kirk and Michelle and Anthony Sprague. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Donahue of Burlington, Vt. Funeral services will be private, with burial at a later date in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in St. Johnsbury.
