Helen Wheaton Desrochers, of lower Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at the age of 99. Helen was the widow of Louis S. 'Min' Desrochers who passed away in 1984. She was born in St. Johnsbury on Nov. 19, 1912, one of six daughters born to Charles and Nancy (McCaig) Wheaton. She was predeceased by her five sisters: Doris Moore, Marion Miller, Martha Gallagher, Ruby Smythe, and Charlotte Wheaton. She is survived by her two children: her daughter Sylvia Levere of Endicott, N.Y., and her son Normand Desrochers of Montpelier; her five grandchildren: Sylvia's two children Jeanne Todaro and Suzanne Grider, Normand's three children Jason, Stacey and Lindsey Desrochers; three great-grandchildren: Sarah Grider, Malik and Halle Fulton; nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass will be delayed until Saturday, Feb. 4, and will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in St. Johnsbury that morning at 11 a.m. with a reception following the Mass downstairs at the church. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be held in May at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions could be directed to The Good Shepherd Foundation, P.O.
