HAYES: Harry T. , 85, of St. Johnsbury, passed away Monday morning,
Feb. 9, 2004, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab Center where he had
resided for the past several years. Born in St. Johnsbury, the son of William
and Maude (Foran) Hayes, Harry will be remembered as a long-time
umpire primarily for St. Johnsbury baseball programs. He enjoyed going to
St. Johnsbury Academy basketball games with other St. Johnsbury Health
and Rehab residents. He is survived by a son, Edward "Ted" Hodgdon and
his wife Evelyn of St. Johnsbury; one sister, Margaret Kittredge of St.
Johnsbury; and nieces and nephews. In May 2003 he was predeceased by
a sister, Pauline Lacroix; and a nephew, Ronnie Kittredge. Funeral services
will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Sayles Funeral Home
with visiting hours Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions marked
