OLIVER: Mrs. Evelyn M. , 87, formerly of St. Johnsbury and most recently of the Country Village Center in Lancaster, N.H., died in Lancaster Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002. She was born in St. Johnsbury Sept. 12, 1914, the daughter of Glenn G. and Almira (Perrigard) Woods. A graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy, Class of 1933, she married Herbert F. Oliver, April 25, 1937; he predeceased her July 29, 1991. Mrs. Oliver held several jobs in St. Johnsbury, retiring in 1981 after working at Hovey's Shops for 14 years. She was a member of the St. Johnsbury Emblem Club, the St. Johnsbury chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the St. Johnsbury Women's Club, and a lifelong member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Her happiest times were those spent with her family and her friends, because they meant everything to her. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Maureen and Stephen Mintz of Syracuse, N.Y., Charla and Maurice Drown Jr. of Latham, N.Y., and Rosalene and Michael Fournier of Lunenburg, Vt.; a brother, Gordon G. Woods and wife Dorothea of Burlington; a half-brother, Melvin G. Woods and wife Tari of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jessica and Joseph Mintz, Laura, Leonard, Aaron and Kara Drown, and Jacob and Lydia Fournier; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service and burial will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, St. Johnsbury.
