AMIDON: Florence Helen , 97, of Lyndon Terrace, Lyndonville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury. She was born in St. Johnsbury, Jan. 3, 1906, the daughter of the late Gardner and Caroline (Carroll) Grady. She attended school in St. Johnsbury and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. On March 16, 1927 she married Garland Amidon of Lyndonville, who predeceased her. Before retiring she worked as a Caledonia County Court officer. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Lyndonville, the Eastern Star, the Lyndonville Improvement Society, and the Lyndon Women\'s Club. She is survived by her children, Patricia Meaden of Geneva, N.Y., and William Amidon of Boston, Mass.; her sister, Irene Grady of St. Johnsbury; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at the First Congregational Church of Lyndonville, Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Joan Vincent officiating. Burial will be in the Lyndon Center Cemetery later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to either the Lyndon Area Food Shelf, P.O.
