*** COPYRIGHT NOTICE ***

The East Brownington Cemetery nestles comfortably alongside a rural gravel-base road in the easterly portion of the town of Brownington, Vermont. In the summer months one cannot help but notice the white board fence that surrounds the cemetery on 3 sides. The only entrance is a gate on the north side; the south, east and west borders being crowded by numerous varieties of trees. Directly across the road is a very large field of pasture grass; a quieter place to rest I could not imagine. In the winter, considering blowing snows from the expanse of the wide open field, one would no doubt drive by this cemetery and not realize it was there.

The approximate dimensions of this cemetery are 140 feet front and rear by 100 feet in depth, and it is approximately rectangular [see map] in shape. Assuming there may be several unmarked graves therein, an estimated 80% occupancy seems quite reasonable.
